I would like to tell you about me so can get an insight as to who I’m and would like to achieve in my rugby career.
I’m Tamara, 20 years old, born in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
I live in the Netherlands for the past 12 years. My parents been French speaking, I’m now tri-lingual (English, Dutch and French).
I started my rugby career at the age of 15 and in May 2016, my trainer took me to a try out for the Dutch National team. I got selected for the U18 7’s Dutch team where I played for a year. As soon as the new season started, I was selected to be part of the preparation for the EK 2017 (European cup) championship.
When I turned 18, I got selected for the Dutch Senior XV team EK 2018 and received my first CAP. In that same year, I changed club to join the Delft Rugby Club to play in the first Division.
But, my hunger to improve my rugby and condition, took me to the other side of the world to train and play in New Zealand. After an incredible year of intensive rugby and conditioning, I’m back in Europe where I will join a top 16 French team in Elite1 for the Stade Rennais.
This new challenge comes with a cost to settle in Rennes before I can find a job and take care of my own bills.
For this reason, I would like to ask for support and help me to collect 2000 euro before the start of the season in September 2019 (rent, caution for the rent, food and transport for the first 3 months).
If you would like to know more, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thank you in advance for your donations and for support the woman’s rugby.
